Jamb Change Of Course Or Institution & Data Correction [Everything you need to know]

Are you interested or in need to know how you can do JAMB change of courses, institutions and other data corrections?, If yes you are on the right page this post will guide you with step by step instructions on how you can easily change Courses, institution, Correction of Names, State/LGA of Origin, Gender, passport photograph, UTME subjects, profile correction, Date of Birth and others successfully through the (JAMB) Joint Admission and Matriculation Board website.

JAMB CHANGE OF INSTITUTION

For those who wants to do their JAMB change of courses, institutions and other necessary corrections, JAMB change of institution is out and it’s still ongoing.

So if you still haven’t done your own it’s advisable to do so fast before the deadline.

The (JAMB)Joint Admission and Matriculation Board management has finally activated a portal for candidates who made serious mistakes while filling their Direct Entry registration and UTME forms so now they can make corrections for this following categories mentioned below:

• NAMES CORRECTION: This allows candidates who made mistakes in spelling their names or errors in the arrangement to easily apply for the correction, such as Firstname or Lastname.
• DATE OF BIRTH CORRECTION.
• PASSPORT PHOTOGRAPH CORRECTION.
• STATE /LGA CORRECTION :

this may require a supporting document.

• GENDER CORRECTION: this may require a supporting document.
• PROFILE CORRECTION.
• CHOICE OF COURSE/INSTITUTION CORRECTION :with this candidates are allowed to apply for a change of course or Institution.

This also allow Corrections to be done multiple times but with separate payments.

Always Note except for CHOICE OF COURSE/INSTITUTION CORRECTION: that all this correction can only be done once.

HOW MUCH TO PAY FOR CHANGE INSTITUTION

If you are one of the candidates interested in changing their institution, course or any other data corrections please you should take note that the form will cost you (N2,500) Two thousand Five Hundred Naira Only.

But Before you do that, please make sure to follow this procedure;

Ensure to verify if the course is available in the school using the JAMB Brochure to be sure of the institution/course you would like to make changes.

Also make sure that the school you are changing to does not have a cut off mark that is usually higher than your score.

Most of the schools have many candidates already. So be sure to have at least up to 4 to 8 options, Just for in case, the choice you preferred is not available, so you can easily take the next option.

To avoid being screened out during your school admission screening make sure to select a institution/course that is in line with your subject combination.

Follow the procedures listed below in other to make any of the changes above on jamb portal.

JAMB CHANGE OF INSTITUTION/COURSE AND DATA CORRECTION PROCEDURE

Simply go to the JAMB portal https://portal.jamb.gov.ng/efacility/

Then login to your Jamb profile with your Email Address and password.

When you have successfully logged in, Click on ‘Registration button (2025 only)’ from the list of services on the left side.

Then from the drop-down, select ‘2025 UTME Data Correction‘ / ‘2025 DE Data Correction’.

When you are done then proceed with the payment.

After successfully making payment, kindly visit any nearest JAMB office, or any JAMB accredited centre in other to complete the correction process

JAMB CHANGE OF INSTITUTION/COURSE AND DATA CORRECTION PROCEDURE FOR 2023 DOWNWARD

Simply go to the JAMB portal https://portal.jamb.gov.ng/efacility/

Then login to your Jamb profile with your Email Address and password.

After logging in successfully, Click on ‘Application for Correction of Data (2023 Downward)’ from the list of services on the left side.

From the drop-down, you can select the one you wish to correct, such as. Institution/Courses, Date of Birth,Name, Gender and State/LGA of Origin.

Note : that you should not do this Jamb correction data at any random centres that are not approved by the Joint Admission and Matriculation (JAMB), if you are doing this keep in mind you are doing it at your own risk.

CHANGE INSTITUTION AFTER WRITING JAMB

If you have accepted admission you can change it

,but it is advisable to first of all change your initial course to a new course that you have been offered to study. If you get offered an admission from another institution, the first choice your institution should be changed to the new institution that offered you admission. Or else you you will not be able to print your JAMB admission letter and the admission will become invalid.

Note : that If you rejected the admission, then you simply don’t have to do anything. Your name will be available in the admission market place automatically for admission consideration.

HOW LONG IT WILL TAKE FOR THE CHANGE OF INSTITUTION/COURSE & DATA CORRECTIONS TO REFLECT ON JAMB PORTAL

It will take up to 24 hours or couple of days before the JAMB institution/course, Date of Birth, Names Gender, State/LGA of Origin and others will be approved by (JAMB) Joint Admission and Matriculation Board.

HOW TO CONFIRM IF THE CHANGE OF INSTITUTION/COURSE & DATA CORRECTIONS HAS REFLECTED ON JAMB PORTAL

(1)  Simply go to JAMB portal https://portal.jamb.gov.ng/efacility/

(2) then Login to your Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) profile with your Email Address and password.

When you have logged in successfully, scroll down then locate and click the ‘Check Admission Status’ tab.

Next, then click on ‘Access my CAPS’

After that, find and click on ‘My Choice’ to confirm if the changes has successfully reflected.

Note : that it’s advisable to keep visiting or refreshing the page if your changes has not reflected on your Jamb Profile, and ensure that your mobile network is working.

NUMBERS OF TIMES YOU CAN CHANCE CHANGE YOUR INSTITUTION IN JAMB

Candidates are only allowed to change institutions, courses and other corrections not more than twice (two times), Source : (JAMB) Joint Admission and Matriculation Board Management, so that is to say if you experienced an error during your first change you will be allowed to make a second change.

END DATE FOR JAMB CHANGE OF INSTITUTION/COURSE & DATA CORRECTION

The management have not yet announced the deadline for the Jamb change of institution/course and data corrections. That is to say that JAMB Portal will remain open for correction of data until admission exercise ends.
